Part 1: Privacy of Project Materials for Third-Party Review 

This section outlines the privacy practices concerning the Project Development Documents (the “Documents”) made available for review by third parties for validation, verification, certification, and audit purposes. 

1. Limited Access for Specific Purposes 

Nature’s Registry provides access to certain Documents on our website (the “Site”) to qualified third parties solely for the bona fide purposes of: 

  • Validation: Assessing the eligibility and design of carbon offset projects. 
  • Verification: Reviewing monitoring reports and confirming the accuracy of emission reductions or removals. 
  • Certification: Formal confirmation that a project meets the Program’s standards. 
  • Audit Trails: Maintaining a transparent and auditable record of project development, credit issuance, and transfers. 

2. Proprietary Information within Project Materials 

Certain information within the Documents is explicitly deemed Proprietary Information. This includes, but is not limited to: 

  • Names of individual landowners or project personnel 
  • Contact Information (email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses) of individuals associated with the project 
  • Specific acreage details of the project site (including exact locations, parcel numbers, GPS coordinates, and physical addresses)
  • Detailed financial terms and conditions outlined in contracts
  • Proprietary business information (such as ranch income and expenses, animals bought/sold, employee compensation or staffing levels)

3. Restrictions on Use of Proprietary Information 

Third parties granted access to the Documents acknowledge and agree that this Proprietary Information is made available strictly for the limited purposes stated in Section 1 of this Part. Any other use is strictly prohibited, including but not limited to: 

  • Marketing or sales activities 
  • External reporting outside the scope of validation, verification, certification, or audit for Nature’s Registry 
  • Competitive analysis 
  • Commercial exploitation 
  • Disclosure to unauthorized individuals or entities 

4. Ownership of Project Information 

All information contained within the Documents is presumed to be the property of the respective Project Developer. Nature’s Registry’s provision of access is solely to facilitate the integrity and transparency of the Program. Third-party reviewers are expected to respect these ownership rights and any usage restrictions imposed by the Project Developers. 

5. Security Measures 

Nature’s Registry implements reasonable, commercially available security measures to protect the Documents from unauthorized access and misuse. Third-party reviewers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the information they access and for ensuring its secure handling. 

Part 2: Privacy of User Information Collected by Nature’s Registry 

This section describes how Nature’s Registry collects, uses, and protects the personal information of individuals (“you” or “Users”) who interact with our Site and the Program, including project Developers and other users. 

1. Information We Collect 

We may collect the following information from Users: 

  • Personal Information: Your name and email address, which you may provide when registering or communicating with us. 
  • Usage Data: Information about how you use our Site, including your browsing activity, the pages you visit, and the resources you access. This data is generally anonymized or aggregated and does not directly identify you.

We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the communication purposes outlined in this Part or as required by applicable law.
